About Randy Jackson: Randy Jackson is the leader of prog metal masters Zebra. Jackson grew up in New Orleans listening to the Beatles and Led Zeppelin. As a teen, he joined a local band called Shepherd's Bush. Jackson soon took frontman Felix Hanneman and formed another group with Californian drummer Guy Gelso. A year later, in 1975, the trio saw a Vogue cover with a woman on a zebra and took the moniker.

With Jackson's penetrating Plant falsetto, acoustic and electric guitar dexterity, and rock-solid portfolio of songs, he was obviously the driver of the Zebra vehicle. The trio played constantly in New Orleans and gravitated toward Long Island, where Twisted Sister, Rat Race Choir, and other heavy types thrived. Soon, all three members moved there and began shopping around a pair of demos.

Both New York and New Orleans played bits of these early demos on the radio, especially "Who's Behind the Door," even before Zebra finally inked with Atlantic Records in 1982. The eponymous inaugural dropped a year later and became the fastest-selling debut in Atlantic history. Zebra had already opened for major headliners Aerosmith, Kiss, and Molly Hatchet before signing. At concerts, acolytes such as Queensr˙che and Dream Theater primed national audiences for Zebra. Legendary Long Island producer Jack Douglas helped on Zebra's second record, No Telling Lies, as well as the first. But Zebra's 1984 sophomore effort died in the shadow of the debut. Two years later, 3.V appeared amidst limited fanfare and Atlantic axed the trio.

As Led Zeppelin clones clogged the airwaves, Zebra sheared this weighty influence on 3.V and emerged with wholly unique and positive '80s pomp/AOR. Alas, label-less, the band returned to its clubland reign of Long Island and New Orleans, releasing a naturally strong live document in 1990. Jackson also formed China Rain for the enjoyable hair ball Bed of Nails. He helped on Henneman's first solo, Rock Candy, in 2000. Later the same year, the recording Signs of Life appeared from the bizarre assemblage Sign. Jackson wrote and sang much Sign material, along with Mark Mangold and Billy Greer.

About Eddie Trunk: Eddie Trunk is a 30 year music industry veteran who has built a reputation for being one of the most respected personalities in the world of Hard Rock and Heavy Metal. Eddie has spent time as a record executive and has also worked in artist management, but has really found his calling as a broadcaster.

Eddie began his broadcasting career in 1983, after convincing the execs at his favorite local radio station, WDHA in NJ, to allow him to produce a hard rock/heavy metal specialty show – one of the first of it’s kind. That show continues to this day under the banner of Eddie Trunk Rocks (also labeled Friday Night Rocks in NYC). Eddie Trunk Rocks originates out of New York City, the number one radio market, on Q104.3 and is syndicated nationally and heard on more than 15 stations including other top 10 markets including WAAF in Boston.
Eddie also hosts Eddie Trunk Live, a weekly live music, talk & interview show every Monday night (6 – 10p) on SiriusXM satellite radio channel 39, which is branded “Trunk Nation” during his program.

In 2002 Eddie took the leap into television after being hired as a host on VH1’s sister station, VH1 Classic, where Eddie was regularly seen hosting the interview series Hanging With as well as appearing on many of the station’s other segments and specials. He is currently host and co-producer of the hit series That Metal Show, the longest running program in the station’s history. That Metal Show is seen around the world and is a favorite destination for many Hard Rock/Heavy Metal fans.

Eddie is armed with a true passion for the music he so feverishly champions. A true scholar of the genre, his encyclopedic knowledge of both it’s history and it’s current events has led him to be widely regarded as one of it’s foremost authorities. Consequently, it made perfect sense that Eddie would eventually turn his attention to writing. In 2010, Eddie added “author” to his list of media credits and released his first book “Eddie Trunk’s Essential Hard Rock & Heavy Metal.” The book was very well received by critics and fans alike. Eddie has just finished work on the sequel, “Eddie Trunk’s Essential Hard Rock & Heavy Metal Vol. 2,” which will be released in late 2013.
